Welcome to the Ithaca Sharx Swimming Club
The Ithaca Sharx is a vibrant and inclusive community swim club located within the beautiful grounds of Ithaca Creek State School. While many of our members are students at the school, we welcome swimmers from the wider community as well. New members are encouraged to join at any time.
As a sub-committee of the Ithaca Creek State School P&C, our club is driven by the dedication and passion of volunteers. We are always looking for extra helping hands – whether big or small, your time and skills are greatly appreciated. If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.
Club Nights – Fun, Friendly, and Family-focused
Our popular Club Night racing competitions are held every Friday evening during Terms 1 and 4 (the summer terms). These nights are all about personal bests, making friends, and enjoying a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
Club Nights include:
- Timed races for all skill levels
- A BBQ and canteen with snacks
- A fun, family-friendly environment
You don't need to be a superstar swimmer to join – all abilities are welcome. Whether your child is just beginning or aiming to improve their times, Club Night is a great way to build skills, confidence, and friendships. We welcome all families, including those outside Ithaca Creek State School.
Swimming Lessons
We offer swimming lessons before and after school, run by The Swim Academy. For lesson enquiries, please contact Pete and his team directly at The Swim Academy or 0455 466 989.
Our morning training sessions are followed by legendary swimmer breakfasts – toasties, pancakes, and more – all organised by our amazing volunteers to fuel our young athletes for the school day ahead.
